farmer’s market, part 5
This maybe my favorite photo. These beets are crazy, they look like peppermint candy canes.

Same bread stand, they have great baby baguettes, that are like 4 inches long.

I love chard, but I need to figure out some different recipes. I have always steamed it, I tried to braise it, but I failed.

This weekend I took Shell to the Farmer’s Market, we biked up and I ended up doing much more photography then shopping. So the next few days are going to be photos I took on Sunday.

ah, venice!
After dinner on Saturday, Rachelle and I went for a walk in the Venice canals. The light was definitely starting to go, but it was beautiful. I had to rack the ISO up way too high to hand hold.

rachelle visits
While Dan was away, my good friend Rachelle became the first overnight guest at our casa. I discovered that the inflatable bed will fit in the living room, but barely. We can adjust the couch some, which would make it fit better, but only if we have two people instead of one.
Rachelle was just here for a quick visit, but we did go down to the ocean and for a walk in the channels, which you will see tomorrow.

Here is another one of my classmates, Tammy Coombs. I think she is gorgeous, and I loved how the tilt of her head just made this shot sing for me.

This shot is also from the workshop, but it’s a candid shot of one of the other student, San Francisco photographer Mark Javier. I loved the energy.

I took Christa Meola workshop a couple weeks ago and I am still working my way through the photos that I shot, so I will posting images every so often.
The first day we shot a family with some small kids. Here is one of my favorite shots of the older daughter. I did do some post production work on the shot, but I love the glow and colors. I think one of the reasons I love this shot is the magazine designer in me. This would make a great spread with a headline and text on the right hand page.
