I have some speedlights too, and I have to say that they can be pretty powerful, and much more portable. Although the Alien Bees are much better than other lights I have seen. I'd probably end up with some ABees if I was that into it. I shoot mostly outdoors, but have a couple speedlites. (Canon side). So I'm some what of a "strobist" when it comes to lighting. I've been looking at the large compact florescents with stands though. (photography is quite addicting) I want to keep expanding what/how I can shoot. Cool. They are great for models cause they don't make them wilt and sweat in the heat. I have actually gotten a couple of Alien Bee strobes since these were taken and I like them alot, but these are still nice to have, and great for video work.
